1. Watch Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan
One of Kadayawan Festival's highlights is Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan or the street dancing parade participated by different groups from all over Mindanao. It features participants with colorful and vivid costumes showcasing choreographed dance inspired my Mindanao's tri-people community : The Christians, the Muslims and the Lumads (Indigenous People). 2. Have a Relaxing Massage in Roxas St. or Near City Hall
If you want a cheap yet relaxing massage while in Davao City, head over to the biggest massage place in Davao located nearthe City Hall or in Roxas Street. Whether you are up for a back massage, a foot massage or a full body massage, these places surely have a massage therapist ready to serve you. If you are uncomfortable having a massage in the open area, you can ask for a private room for a minimal fee. Foot massage is at P60 while full body massage is only P200 and P250 if you choose a private room.
3. Beach Bumming in Samal or Dahican
If you want a beach getaway, you can either go to the Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS) which is just an hour away from the city proper or if you want an adventure, go to Dahican Beach in Mati City, Davao Oriental which is about 4-5 hours away. 4. Sample the Best of Davao Food
Davao has a lot to offer in terms of food. A lot of restaurants have their Kadayawan promo, so for sure, you'll enjoy the food at discounted rates. 5. Feast on Davao Fruits
Kadawayan season is also the fruit season in Davao City. Different type of tropical fruits are available in the city at very cheap prices. Durian, mangosteen, rambutan and lanzones are sold in the streets for as low as P30 per kilo (sometimes even less). If you want to feast on Davao Fruits, the best place to go is either in Magsaysay Park or in Bankerohan.
6. Visit Museo Dabawenyo
If you are into historical finds, you may visit Museo Dabawenyo for free. It is labelled as a "people's museum" and its programs are geared towards better historical and cultural awareness, understanding and integration. It is located at Cor. A. Pichon and C.M. Recto Sts., Davao City and is open from 9am-6pm Monday to Friday.
7. Experience Crocodile Park
The crocodile park is probably one of the most visited attractions in Davao City. It features a "state of the art" crocodile farming system. It showcases different sizes of farmed crocodiles. 8. Day Tour at Banana Beach
Banana Beach is located in Tagum City about an hour away from Davao City. It is not just a beach resort but also a place for different type of activities. 9. See the Philippine Eagle Up Close
A visit to Davao City is not complete without visiting the Philippine Eagle Center, home of the Philippines' national bird. It is located in Malagos about an hour away from the city proper. 10. Visit The People's Park
Located at the heart of Davao City, People's Park has been a popular destination for both locals and tourists in the city. It features sculptures of Kublai Milan, one of Davao's famous artists. It is covered with lush vegetation and is ideal for family bonding. There is no entrance fee to visit the park.
11. Experience Nature and Adventure at EDEN
