Pampanga Restaurants : Angeles Fried Chicken

Angeles Fried Chicken (AFC) is probably one of Angelenos favorite places to eat. It has been in the business for several decades and it is considered as one of the oldest restaurants in Angeles City. Aside from their famous Angeles Fried Chicken, they also serve a variety of dishes that will surely capture one's taste.

I am from Davao so I haven't really heard about Angeles Fried Chicken. I didn't know what type of dishes they are serving. I was expecting of only eating their famous fried chicken but I was surprised as they served us with a lot more from their menu. Yeah, when I say a lot, I mean it. They served us with all their best-sellers. I'd say I liked almost all of them.

Crispy Chicken Salad (P135.00)
Our meal started with this appetizing salad. I must say I enjoyed it a lot. The ingredients were fresh and the dressing was just perfect. The salad is a mixture of fresh lettuce, carrots, water chestnuts, green capsicum, slices of orange and topped with crispy breaded chicken slices. It was really a perfect appetizer.

Chicharong Bulaklak (P175.00)
One of my favorites when I was not still on a diet. I liked its taste. It's not too salty and the sauce complements the crispy chicharon. It's good to be paired with beer but that night, I ate it with just the sauce. Yummy, indeed!

Sizzling Sisig (P175.00)
AFC's sizzling sisig is more meaty than the usual sisig that I have tried so far. It has the right amount of spices and it was sumptuous.

Chicken Barbecue (P135.00)
AFC's charcoal-grilled chicken barbecue is juicy and tender. It is served with potato wedges on the side. It tasted good but not my favorite.

AFC Fried Rice (P120.00)
Their fried rice has generous amount of vegetables, eggs and shrimps. It's a good pair for their "heavenly tasting" fried chicken.

Shrimp with Cashew Nuts (P225.00)
I like the presentation of this dish. It is made up of shrimps, vegetables and cashew nuts in a creamy sauce. The taste is mild and the cashew nuts added texture and flavor to the rich sauce.

Shanghai Lumpia (P145.00)
There's nothing special in their lumpiang shanghai recipe but I still liked it. It is made up of the usual ground pork and spices, wrapped in lumpia wrapper and then deep fried. It was still hot and crispy when it was served to us so I was able to enjoy it.

Camaron Rebosado (P225.00)
It's the Filipino version of the famous Japanese tempura. It is shrimps dipped and coated in batter and then deep fried. It is served with sweet and sour sauce which made the dish delightful.

Pancit Canton (P145.00)
There is nothing special in their pancit canton. It's the usual stir-fried noodles that you can buy anywhere.

Japanese Fried Chicken (P195.00)
It's deep fried chicken with generous amount of garlic. It is served with their in-house special sauce. A must-try dish at Angeles Fried Chicken Restaurant.

Angeles Fried Chicken, (Family Size / 9 pieces) – (P425.00)
The restaurant's very own delectable and tasty Angeles Fried Chicken. It's definitely the star of the night. It's juicy and tender and it has the right spices and seasoning. I'd definitely go back to Angeles for these fried chicken. It's a must-try when visiting Angeles City, Pampanga. It is served with bread or rice and coleslaw on the side and paired with their delicious gravy.

It was definitely a delightful night at Angeles Fried Chicken Restaurant. The food were sumptuous and they are very affordable. So when you visit Angeles City, Pampanga, eat at Angeles Fried Chicken Restaurant.
